About Us

Jack Kline's connection to the construction industry runs deep, with a lineage steeped in the trade—his grandfather owning a lumberyard, another serving as a carpenter and building inspector, and his father constructing numerous houses. The rhythm of hammers on weekends shaped his early years.nUpon earning an engineering degree from the University of Alabama, Jack embarked on a career that saw him contribute his skills to Wellman Friction & Brake and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. However, his true calling beckoned, and two decades ago, Jack founded Kline Construction, blending his engineering acumen, hands-on expertise, and a fervent passion for design and construction.
Initially focusing on renovating homes in Ohio City, Cleveland, Jack soon recognized the constraints of this approach. A pivotal decision led him to shift gears toward new construction. Noticing a dearth of home plans suitable for small urban lots, Jack rose to the challenge, creating his own custom designs tailored for lots as compact as 30 feet wide. This hands-on involvement allowed him to seamlessly integrate his expertise from conceptualization to construction.
